Subject: [Scriptoris] Looking for a Western calligraphy hand with Arabic
style/influence
I am working on a scroll that needs to show some Spanish and
Arabic/Moorish influences. I have no problem finding references for the
illumination, but I'd like to use a calligraphic hand with an Arabic
style. It does need to be Western (i.e. in English), not in actual
Arabic. (I am using the Alhambra Palace in Granada for some of my
illumination references and the time period is the early to mid 1500's)
I have run across dead links to such a hand on various scribal web
pages, but have been unable to find any live links or examples.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice.
In Service,
Alicia
