Ok, also in reply to your original question - 
yes, Pergamena will carry bookbinders leather, and they appear to be showing at the KWHSS event.  
I don't know about the other vendors.   
I'm thinking TLC Leathercraft carries armor worthy leathers, not bookbinding, but could be wrong.

Are any of the leather people carrying bookbinder's leather? It's  
different from our vellum or parchment kinds.

I know a mundane bookbinder who is looking for another source.
