I think that is a great idea for all regions. I am in the "Coastal"
region, and I agree the region names while descriptive are quite dull.
How about regional names with more flair? I heard that someone suggested
"Lowenhaven" as a possible principality name (meaning lion's heaven or
harbor or something of that sort). Why not start with the region of
Lowenhaven? Someone could use "Fyramptewealde", which is the former name
(now unused and ripe for the picking) of the Canton of Gate's Edge. It
means "Fire Ant Meadow" which is also a very descriptive name <g>. I am
not a scholar of the ancient or foreign languages, so I can't come up
with any really good sounding ones, but I would like to see some of the
people's suggestions.
