something that's been intriqueing me for some time ... and that came to 
mind through recents posts in peoples suggestion of names .... in the 
"domesday book" census project, was/is data collected on what cultural 
affiliation and time period the populace follows?

it would be fascenating to be able to slice-n-dice such data on a geographic 
basis ...
