SR - A stubborn old war sword

Since Gulf Wars I've replaced my lefthand sword twice, but I've been 
fighting with the same righthand sword since the Trimaran Speed tourney 
at GW VII.  The damned thing won't die.  The rattan is broomed to a 
depth of about a half inch all the way around, but the remaining 1/4" 
core is supernally durable.  I've pounded this thing on every helmet I 
can get within striking distance of, but it just doesn't want to break.  
I suppose I could just go ahead and replace it, but as long as I can 
land more or less solid blows in practice most of the time, why waste 
good rattan?

Fortunately, Thursday's here again and--naturally--I'm holding fighter 
practice in Bryn Gwlad's usual location at 7:30 pm.  

Come on out and fight.  Knock out those kinks before Pennsic or Kingdom 
Warlord--or whatever you're planning to do in the next couple of 
weeks--and help me destroy an old sword.
