I see alot of messages on this subject all the time and I would like to
make some realistic suggestions. Lack of communication is a problem with
any group our size. Not every one has email, gets a blackstar, al;ways
goes to populace meetings or has a phone. If you really want a straw
poll to come close to the sentiment of the populace of the southern
region decide on several events when the topic will be discussed and
what will be discussed.
Examples
Have a principality straw poll taken at Harvest Festival at Shadowlands
and another at say Bryn Gwlad Baronial. Have these meetings time and
place listed in the event flyer that is put in the Blackstar. At these
meetings have information flyers given out at the gate to whoever comes
to the event. At the time of the meeting pass out typed questionaires
with the following questions
Are you paid member?
What branch do you reside in? List branches and have them circle.
Are you In favor of a Principality Y N
Are you in favor of stronger regional Identity Y N
Are you in favor of being just an administravtive region of Ansteorra Y
N
Are you Against a principality Y N
Are you in favor of A Crown Principality Y N

If you are in favor of a principality please write down what groups or
borders you think the principality should have.

pretty easy questions to get things started
No names needed and hard data will come from these. And a place to
start.
I see a great deal of talk and their will continue to be talk, but if
you keep things simple and easy and allow the blackstar to help get the
information out alot more people will be made aware of all the issues
regarding this discussion.
If It will help I will be doing a mailing of the kingdom calendar out to
all senschals and landed. I will put the information regarding this
meeting in that mailing, not to support the principality idea, but to
make sure everyone knows when and where things are being discussed.

A suggestion to all who read this and are for or against a principality.
Go to these events and make your voive heard if not physically saying
something then by voting on the paper passed out at the event. Proxies
would be acceptable but only on prearranged questions.

I hope this will help
It distresses me not to see a great deal of discussion, but the fact
that anyone would think we would try and keep information of any sort
from our friends
In service to you all
