There's Abraham Lincoln's riddle: "How many legs has a dog, if we call
a tail a 'leg'?".  Answer: "Four.  Calling a tail a leg doesn't make
it one.".

The etiquette rules for guests and for paying customers are different.
E.g., a paying customer has a contract with the service provider and
can make demands.
