Donal here;
As one of those who commented in favor of more weight given to the
opinions of paid members in the PP debate, I feel obliged to comment
on this.

TI and the Black Star are subsidiary issues as far as membership goes.
Those who do not wish to receive those publications need not, and
therefore need not contribute money toward their operating costs. Nor
should they have to contribute to a registry that does not keep track
of them. The main service, to my mind, provided by the corporation
(aside from a certain unity of framework) is that of insurance.

I _strongly_ disagree. Non-paid members who are active contribute a
great deal in the way of intangibles. I am not, never have been, and
never will be in favor of "pay-to-play". I do, however, feel that
given the idea that paid members contribute to the insurance coverage
that gets our sites as cheaply as we do, those paid members should
have a greater voice in the running of the group.
