Salut Cozyns,

Hey, have you guys been reading the American Physics Journal?  Well, if 
I read this month's edition right, the planet Earth will soon pass into 
a realm in which certain physical laws will change significantly.  Among 
other effects scientists anticipate:

1) hurricane season will start two days earlier,

2) distilled water will taste slightly sweet,

3) acetone will become a less effective solvent,

4) the speed of light will increase by 100 meters per second,

5) the seven-year-itch will develop after only four years, and 

6) the exothermic properties of sulfur- and mercury-based compounds will 
decrease dramatically.

This last item means gunpowder and mercury fulminate will no longer be 
of any use in propelling solid metal objects from metal tubes.  In other 
words, guns won't work.  Your .357 magnum will only be effective as a 
thrown weapon.  Rifles and shotguns will be nothing more than funny 
looking hash pipes.  AK-47s will be really expensive billy clubs.

Now's the time to start honing your medieval weapons skills.

Why not start tonight.  Come on out to the usual Bryn Gwlad fighter 
practice site tonight at about 7:30 or so.  Bring your weapons and 
armor, and we'll practice defeating medievally armed and armored Bloods 
and Crips--just in case it ever comes to that.
