Having grown up in Ansteorra and knowing a good amount of the "old
timers" I, Lady Ealasaid MacEanruig(daughter of Ivar and Catriona), think
of many words that deal with the heart. Faith, trust, love, honesty,
dignity, passion, friendship, devotion, and a bond that can only be felt
deep in the heart. The people of the Southern Region and of Ansteorra
have a deep devotion to not only to the Kingdom but to each other. We
don't need contests to show our devotion, love or to prove our ranks,
because if we keep the devotion that we have towards each other, we need
nothing else. Everyone has a high rank in our hearts. To name a
wonderful group of friends of how we feel in our hearts is, in my eyes,
impossible. There are no exact words to describe the Southern Region.
Thus making the search endless but the journey to find what all of this
really means to each of us "in our hearts" incredible.

I hope you don't mind someone contrubuting from outside the region.
Home, Land, Honor, Pride, Talent. Where do most of these things reside
and where is the southern region? All of the reside somewhat
symbololically in the "HEART" Looking at texas specifically the southern
region is in the heart of texas. What about something like the land of
the heart or something. Just a suggestion.
