BJORNSBORG SUMMER ARTS COLLEGE
SATURDAY, JULY 17, 1999

You are invited to attend the Bjornsborg Summer Arts College.  There
will be 3 tracks of  a variety of classes, beginning at 10am and ending
at 5pm.  Bring a sack lunch or buy delectable food stuffs from the
Bjornsborg Culinary Group. After classes, there will be a potluck
feast.  As the instructors are giving of their time and knowledge,
please consider bringing largesse for classes and/or instructors that
you particularly enjoy.  The event is in costume.

Subject to last minute change, classes will include the following:
**How to make a Corset
Persona (class will be offered twice)
Draugrs (Viking Ghosts)
*Drop spinning, beginning and intermediate
**Beginning Beading
Disguising Mundanity
**Heraldic Applique
Mead Making (lecture only)
3 Period Shirts
*Off-loom Weaving
Metalworking Overview
Masks of the Renaissance
Beginning Embroidery
Cavalier Persona
Arts Documentation & Display Clinic
* indicates that there is a materials fee.
** indicates that students should bring some materials with them.  See
the Bjornsborg web site for details.

Rules of the site:  ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL, WEAPONS, OR CANDLES.  The
site is a state-run facility, and if their rules are violated, they will
call the police and then remove us from the site.  If you forget, you
will be asked at the gate to place the contraband items in your vehicle.

Site opens at 9am and closes at 11pm.
Gate will run from 9am to 1pm.  Adults are $4, Children are $2.

Directions to site: (For our northern friends, take 35-S to 410-S.)
Where 410-S becomes 410-W, west of 37, take the Southton/South Presa
exit.  Take a right onto South Presa.  The site is about half of a mile
away on the right.  It’s the Texas Engineering Extention Service, 9350
South Presa.
