I replied privately.  To Summarize:

1.  Let me stress that I know what was originally meant by Point of Conflict, but (to
summarize) wrote back saying that when a whole group's populace is riled, even a seneschal
forgetting to distribute something at one populace meeting must be taken seriously in a
non-professional environment where consensus building is important.

2.  Regarding inquiring with the individual groups...I concluded that it was a very SCA
thing to do and would have headed off potential problems such as this one, thereby insuring
the integrity of the rest of the polling.

3.  I noted and responded to the incredibly condescending "Which is where it belonged in
the first place" statement.
