Texas Renaissance Festival
Passes and Info 

Good day to all who read these words. I am H.L. Yoshi the current Liaison for the Texas Renaissance Festival ( TRF ) S.C.A. Booth 232. I will be issuing passes again for the TRF season this year. Like the last two years we will be issuing passes at a TROLL station before you enter the TRF site. We had problems with locations changing as the fair progressed but now have a permanent location for the TROLL booth! 
    Passes will be issued at a TROLL vehicle across the road from the main patrons entrance in the parking lot of the convenience store next to KIMS PIZZA. The TROLL hours will be as follows:

                Friday evening 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
    Saturday and Sunday morning                  8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

    Each weekend is being sponsored by a local group. To reserve a pass for the weekend that your branch group is hosting contact your group Autocrat. For those who wish to reserve passes on other weekends please contact H.L. Yoshi at the following address and phone number:

    Passes are a little different than last year. TRF will not be using the same style of pass. We will be given "Comp Passes" that  you give the security officer when you enter the participants entrance at the back gate. In this manor you will not be able to leave the site unless you have another pass to get in. I know that this will inconvenience some of you but this is how the TRF officials want us to operate this year. I am working out some arrangement with them at this time.If you are going to participate on both days of the weekend then you may get two passes.
    Parking passes will be issued per vehicle. Before leaving for the week we ask that all passes be returned to H.L. Yoshi so that we can reuse them again. I will have a drop box in the parking area for the passes to be placed. We will not get allot of them so please return them.
    The SCA parking area is near the three big green water towers behind the TRF site. Look for the Yellow and Black barrier tape and the <SCA  signs. We have our own security watching the area so please park your vehicles in the taped off area.
    As usual we ask that you not wear tennis shoes while performing the demo during the day. Shoes need not be period just not obviously modern like NIKE, REBOK, FILA, ADIDAS etc.
If they are covered up and can not be seen then you may get away with it. but try and wear some shoes that look kind of period. The TRF Entertainment Directors ask that we also wear period style hats and try to cover up mundane items. We will have some hats but not allot. Duct tape armor is not wise but last minute repairs are acceptable. No smoking in the compound or the fair grounds. If you need to smoke please step behind the compound and us our smoking areas. :) 
    One last thing: We are guests at the Fair. We are invited out each year to share our great society with the mundane patrons who attend and enjoy the merriment of the fair. We add color and flavor to the fair and we entertain in our own way. The rules that we follow must apply to all. No one is above the rules so please help each other out in following them.
