I've heard arguments on both sides of the "is/is not new century"
debate.  To be precise, I've heard the same arguments over and over
again.  I've seen citations that the same arguments have been made
since 1700 at least.  I've seen these arguments made for most of a
year in widely-scattered places on the net, so I suspect most of the
readers have seen them also.

Please, have mercy.
