Greetings,
Finally on the list, so thought I would say hello and introduce myself.  I have been looking at the neat pictures at the yahoo list for some time now but just hadn't got around to getting on here.  My name is Fa'rissa or mundanely Julie.  I used to be in SCA years ago, left for awhile, had a kid, etc. now I'm back for just the last year and a half.  Now I'm older, wiser and really know myself better and I love to cook!  But period methods and recipes are all still new to me.  It wasn't a big interest in my area back then and still isn't today to a great extent, so I'm kind of own my own.  I am really excited about period methods and recipes! So I hope to not just lurk here quite as much as I do on the "Cooks List".  This group is much more up my alley and into what I really love.  Outdoor/open fire cooking!  I really do love it.  So far though what I have done has been mundane recipes because I don't really have any good sources for period stuff.  Hopefully that will change soon!  If you can help me out with that with links or suggestions that would be awesome.  Look forward to typing and reading with you more.
