[Stargate] Beading Guild this Thursday

Greetings all!  This Thursday Feb.7, the beading guild will meet at
Northwoods Presbyterian Church (3320 FM 1960 West) from 7:30pm-9:30pm.
We will be working on making a dragonfly pin.  Some may opt to work on other
beadwork to be donated as prizes for Pestilence ball.  Bring any beading
supplies and tools you may have.  Some loaner supplies and tools will be
available as well.
For the dragonfly pin, the materials needed will be:

For the "head" : ONE 4mm round faceted bead and ONE 8mm round faceted bead (
For head and body, I recommend beads be dark iridescent color, black, or
smoky color.)

For the "body" : ONE 7-8mm teardrop or spacer type faceted bead,  THREE 4mm
round faceted beads, and ONE 7-9mm bugle bead.

For the "wings" : Approx. 375 size 10/0 seed beads in iridescent colors of
choice.

To put it together you'll also need a spool of 28 Gauge wire in black or
silver.



I have prepared materials(kits) for five additional pins for those who want
to purchase them for $3.00, as the austrian lead crystal beads can be fairly
expensive.  Please email me to reserve one of these five sets for you.

This particular project isn't very period, but it's pretty.  We are seeking
ideas (wire work, strung beadwork, beading fabric, tatting with beads,
making glass/clay beads, etc) for future projects, so come on out and share
your ideas and skills with us.
