A little more notice would be appreciated.

I have been noticing a trend toward shorter and shorter lead times on
notices such as this. I don't know if it is a lack of planning or
forgetfulness or what. Email is a wonderfully quick way to get information
out, but it is a very limited group that actually has email, subscribed to
the lists and can drop everything for an activity that is announced that
same day (or even the next day).

I do hope you got some company.
