The details were based on discussions from the last Stargate Business meeting on January 22nd. If you have any questions, please direct them to the Senschal or B&B only. At the Stargate Business Meeting, the Baroness (with words from the Baron), officers, and interested members of the populace met and discussed several issues concerning the Barony. One of these issues was the moving of Populace to a new location. The discussion revolved around the methods that would be used to select the site. 
 
A little background: At the last populace meeting on January 8, 2007, the Seneschal, Lady Vasilisa, informed the populace that a list of possible sites was under-development and that anyone who knew of a potential site to check out that site for availability and if there was any cost or other constraints to the Barony using that site for its populace meeting and then forward the information to her or bring it to the next populace meeting on February 5, 2007. 
 
Site Pre-requisites: Stargate is looking for a site that has a room that can support at least 40 attendees, has adequate parking either on-site or on-street, is safe and clean, free or low in cost, easily accessible from a major road (preferably I-10) and within the beltway, and convenient to the Greater Houston area that is not served by the Loch or Gate’s Edge.  
 
Populace Polling: Polling will be at the February 5, 2007 Stargate populace meeting as stated at the January 8th meeting. A list of researched and available sites will be identified during the meeting with a quick description of any amenities, costs, and concerns about the site. Each site will be listed on large easel pads. Each person who wishes to have a say to the meeting location will receive a ballot and will be instructed to write their top 3 chooses.  The sites will be ranked based on most desired (#1) to least (#3). 
 
A list of ranked sites will be provided to the Seneschal and Baron and Baroness, who will confirm site details and chose from among the ranked sites the location that would best serve the Barony and its populace. They will use the confirmed site details (see above pre-requisite section) and results of the poll in their decision-making process. 
 
 
Everyone is encouraged to attend the populace meeting on February 5th and offer their opinions on the new site. Meeting starts at 7:30 pm sharp at Ryan's Steakhouse at 34th street near Hwy 290. Come early at 7 pm and visit with friends.
