My suggestion would be to make sure it's a universal E-reader.  Basically, that means that no matter which place you buy from, you can use just one reader.. not a Bookstore specific reader.

As a person who writes E-Books, I can also tell you that books do come in .pdf format... at least mine do.  Perhaps you can get them in .pdf  and put it on your laptop?

I'm just guessing here because I usually get the .pdf format when I get the final draft of my book back.

Hi everyone.
I've been checking things out and it seems I can get all my textbooks on e-book format.  
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which reader to get.  
I'm currently looking at the B&N Nook, the Amazon Kindle and the Sony readers.  I just don't know which to get.  They are all around the same prices.  If anyone can give me any feedback about them, please let me know.  
I'm really torn.
