I just thought I would forward this request for volunteers. If any of you have the time and/or resources, they could really use some help right now sheltering animals affected by the fire. I have already replied to the email with my availability to help out.

Good Evening; 
   
I have been contacted by a representative from the Texas Department of Emergency Management related to the wildfires in Grimes County.  They are in need of a volunteer staff to assist in receiving and caring for animals that are being evacuated. 
 They are currently working on a location to set up and Emergency Shelter and have asked me to work on a volunteer corp to assist in the caring for the animals during this disaster. 
   
Anyone available and willing to assist please email me back, we will establish a contact list and will communicate one we have a green light and location to set up this emergency shelter.  Please include contact number and email address.
