Stargate Yule’s spot on calendar was missing in the most recent posting. We are working on fixing.

Bordermarch may request soup kitchen again this year for BAM, so please start thinking if you will participate and what you will be making.

Events coming up: Return of the Dragon, Elfsea Baronial College, Crown tournament, King’s Round Table, Steppes Artisan

All the officers will be seeking deputies to assist as well as step in if the office has to step down unexpectedly, providing a fluid transition. If you are interesting in learning about a specific office, please see that officer.

Treasury: all paperwork is up to day.

Chronicler: Please keep sending in submissions in for Two Towers, since the chronicler has taken office, Two Towers has grown.

Herald: Artifacts or articles needed for Stargate Yule 40th anniversary of stargate.

Hospitaler: Please see me if you are in need of garb for an upcoming event. Male garb is in short supply, if you have any that you no longer use,please let me know. 

Rapier: Currently at Bear Creek Park, 2nd and 4th Sunday. We would like to see more rapiers out please. Contact the Knight Marshal or check the Stargate mailing list and Facebook page for location specifics.

Scribes: Next meeting is on the 15th at the HEB Market on I-10 at Bunker Hill. All are welcome, newcomers and masters alike. Contact: Mistress Hillary Greenslade (hillaryrg AT yahoo DOT com).

Hammerfest 2012, Join us Friday, August 31st thru Monday, Sept. 3rd 2012! Demonstrations will include repousse, mokume gane, Damascus, forge welding, sand casting, engraving, knife making, and so much more! Open forges! Try your hand at the techniques demonstrated! Share-o-lot event/demo hosted by Loch Soilleir, Saturday, July 7th 12:00pm to 4:45pm. Admission is free. Current location is the Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library as 16616 Dianna Lane Houston, TX 77062. This is a day of A&S sharing. There is not a set schedule of classes and sharing what you learned at King’s College. This is a garbed event and we will have a sign inviting library patrons in to ask questions and visit.
