ST - Upcoming Mini-Tournament

Greetings Fellow Ansteorrians:

The Canton of Glaslyn is hosting and A&S mini-tournament on Saturday, August 19.  The theme for the mini-tournament is "Anything Celtic".  We will have prizes in the following categories: beginner, intermediate and advanced.  Artisans and non-artisans alike are invited to attend.

In addition to having an A&S competition, we will be holding classes throughout the day.  The agenda for the event is as follows (subject to slight modifications):

10:00 -	Site opens and Artisans set up displays
	Rowdy Dances - Lord Sebastian Mugerza and/or Lady Capricia d'Aulnay

11:00 -	Bardic 101 -- Counting on Your Fingers - Lord Antigonus Bearbait
	Natural Dyes - Mistress Stella Silvana (There will be a $5.00 fee for this class. Those taking the class will get a booklet/handout and three mordants to use when dyeing with natural materials.)

12:00 -	pot-luck lunch

1:00 -	Something by Darius - Lord Darius of the Bells
	Charter Painting 101 (lecture format) - Lady Lavina del Bakhous

2:00 -	Courtly Graces - Duchess Larissa
	Charter Painting (hands-on) - Lady Ceinwen ferch Rhuel
	Bead Embroidery - Lady Sindara (There will be a $6.00 fee for this class. Class size is limited to 15.)

3:00 -	Judging of entries
	Stately Dances - Lord Sebastian Mugerza and/or Lady Capricia d'Aulnay
	Intermediate Performance and Bardic Documentation - Lady Simone
	Feast Stewarding 101 - HE Catrin Brynmorgan
	Charter Painting (hands on) - Lady Ceinwen ferch Rhuel
	Glove Making - Lady Chiara Francesca Arianna d'Onofrio

4:00 - 	Awards ceremony and site clean up.

6:00 - 	Site closes

The site will be at St. David's Episcopal Church, 623 Ector Street, Denton, Texas.  Site fee is $3.00 for everyone age 13 and over.  Children under 13 are free.  Family max is $9.00.  The site is wet and candles are permitted.
