Museo del Ejército (Army Museum)

Spain’s army museum occupies one of the remaining
parts of the 17th-century Palacio del Buen Retiro.
Individual rooms are dedicated to the military history
of different periods and house a vast array of
weapons, from Moorish times to the present day.
Several rooms are dedicated to the Spanish Civil War.
One of the highlights of the museum is the sword of El
Cid – La Tizona-, as well as an entire room of tin
soldiers.
