Actually HL Borek has put together a Warlord handbook, it is still a work in
progress, but was very helpful for this past Warlord. :)  I will add new
information to it for next years autocrat.

It's the way we've traditionally done it, but I'm not so sure it's the best
way.  We might do better to develop "Autocrat" books for our events, and
then let new folks just jump in with some mentors identified in case they
get into trouble.  That's a technique that I've seen work very well in the
past, both in the professional world and in an SCA context.
