Greetings to Horsemen Far and Wide
Their Excellencies Master Fritz and the honorable Lady Caitrin request the
pleasure of your company at Steppes Warlord. May 25th to May 28th Canton, Tx

http://www.steppes.org/warlord/index.html

I have attached the proposed layout for Saturday's challenge course at
Warlord. This plan is not final until I have Lady Rolanda's approval.
The course is composed of 7 Sets.
1. Heads - scored as current IKEqC
2. Rings - 1"= 22 pts, 2"=17 pts, 3"=11 pts, all others as IKEqC (lances
only) Faults for stopping and/or losing gait.
3. Control Course: Back into a tight square, then with no hands on the reins
proceed to turn 360 degrees, walk out, resume gait and weave 3-cones. Fault
points are on the attachment. You can put the reins in your mouth or on the
saddle horn.
4. Pig Stick - 75pts for smallest ball, 25 pts for gait, faults for stopping
and/or losing gait
5. Javelin - 75 pts for smallest target, faults for stopping and/or losing
gait
6. Jump or Water Choice: 25 pts. Jump a bale of hay or cross water hazard
and knock off a head. Faults for stopping and/or losing gait.
7. Quintain - Rider in your division with the most turns = 100pts; all other
runs are 100/Max turns. Best of two charges.

The course will be ready Friday evening for practice until the list starts
Saturday.

Advanced Riders will ride first and must complete the course on Saturday. We
will work with the riders fighting in other lists. Beginner and Intermediate
riders who are unavailable on Sunday will have 2nd priority for the Saturday
list. I am planning to set up a second field for authorizations. The
priority for authorizations are people who have rented or pre-arranged to
borrow a mount. Lady Rolanda will be marshalling the competition so please
volunteer if you are a marshal.

We will break at 4pm to prepare for Mounted archery at 4:30. The mounted
archery targets are combat pells.

Retrieve your A&S submissions and clean up the pavilion after Mounted
Archery.

Everyone is expected at Court (except the horses, this time, we hope).

Ride Security or just ride around Saturday night.

Sunday
- Muck out
- Equestrian A&S submissions on the table from 11am to 5 pm
- Authorizations and Finish any of the Intermediate or Beginner level riders
not completing the course on Saturday.
- Eq meeting at Sir Alexis' discretion.
- Mounted Combat (As per recent rulings)
- Steel in the Rings (Schlager etc. as per recent rulings)
- IKEqC

I don't know how people feel about the pony rides that were given to
children last year. I consider this a volunteer activity. If anyone is
interested in giving pony rides, I will try to rope off a section so that
this does not interfere with our other activities.

Steppes Bardic competition is Sunday night. I hope everyone gets a chance to
enjoy that.

You can ride security or just ride around Sunday night.

Monday
Muck out
Last minute IKEqC
Tear down the field

We will be providing hay but there will be no tavern in camp (unless I get a
volunteer soon). There is only one tavern expected at Warlord this year and
they will only be selling breakfast. I think a community table would be nice
but I know everyone will be busy.
If you have any prizes to donate give them to me and I will see that they
get to the Prize Coordinator.
Please keep horse camp mucked out, the site will have to be scraped after
everyone leaves (and I don't have Patric this year).

Yours in service,
Lady Aimee de Long Coeur
