[Steppes] Equestrian Guild Questions

Maria,
Glad to hear from you.
The most regular practices are held down in Stargate. There is a practice
once a month. The location alternates between north and south Houston with
the north practice in Tomball. They have loaner horses that you can rent to
practice on.

Currently we have a family in Cleburne that has a horse available if someone
is willing to go out and practice with this horse regularly. Contact Becky
Huffman at 817-558-7828. Otherwise we have no loaner horses in Central. You
might chat with Lady Avin of Glaslyn (Central Reg Senechal). She has some
horses she is not riding that are pastured in Elfsea.

If you can't find a mount we always need help with ground crew/judging and
the list.

group at Yahoo Groups. All the rules and links are there plus the notices
for local events.

Hola!

I have a question about equestrian guild. I've been doing alot of
thinking....I would love to get authorized after the baby is born at the end
of January....so this Fall Court weekend is out. :)

But I have some questions....

I don't own a horse. I have no place to put one if I did own one and I know
of no stables in my area where I could rent one, so....

How do I get authorized?
How can I practice?
How can I participate in equestrian events?

I used to ride every summer at Girl Scout camp when I was alot younger and
have always had a soft spot for them. I do still remember all the safety
aspects of riding...though don't ask me to do an emergency dismount....it's
not a pretty site. :)
