The information Lord Louis gave was most correct. You all should know, however, that you can also contract this virus if you are using IE (depending on the version and which service pack you have) and simply look at a dirty HTML doc. For now it looks like I have this situation (somewhat) under control... Wish me luck! ~Afan~ From timothy at elfsea.net Tue Nov 13 08:05:25 2001 From: timothy at elfsea.net (Timothy Rayburn) Date: Tue, 13 Nov 2001 10:05:25 -0600 Subject: [Steppes] [Dfw-announce] Administrative Notice Message-ID: <200111131005.AA106496328@elfsea.net> Greetings to the SCA of the Metroplex! It has recently come to my attention that since the change of mailing list server software at Ansteorra.Org that the DFW-Announce list has not been functioning properly. Only 35 subscribers were recieving the postings, not what was originally intended which was an overall view of all the local SCA group lists. Effective with this message, I have restored the original intent of the list. Any message sent to dfw-announce at ansteorra.org will be automatically sent to the Elfsea, Steppes, Loch-Ruadh and Glaslyn lists. If there are non-Ansteorra.org lists for 3 Bridges, Dragonsfire Tor, or Lindenwood I would be happy to add them. In the future, if you have something you would like to send out to everyone in the Metroplex area, simply send it to ONLY dfw-announce and it will be forwarded from there to the other lists. Thank you, Timothy of Glastonbury Moderator of DFW-Announce _______________________________________________ Dfw-announce mailing list Dfw-announce at ansteorra.org http://www.ansteorra.org/mailman/listinfo/dfw-announce From gdwilkerson at earthlink.net Tue Nov 13 17:00:03 2001 From: gdwilkerson at earthlink.net (Glen Wilkerson) Date: Tue, 13 Nov 2001 19:00:03 -0600 Subject: [Steppes] [Dfw-announce] UncommonCon Message-ID: <02b701c16ca7$b243a380$cbe1f5d1@oemcomputer> I mention this because once upon a time there was discussion in both baronies of demos at the con - UncommonCon on Thanksgiving Weekend has been cancelled. Due to low advance sales of rooms and dealer table space the Wyndham Anatole cancelled the contract, what other details there are are available on the website - www.uncommoncon.com. The Heritage Comics Signature auction will, however, go on at the Wyndham Anatole. Their contract was independant of UncommonCon, information on the auction is available on their website - www.heritagecomics.com. For those who were planning on attending UncommonCon, but aren't interested in old comic books, and still feel like going to a con that weekend - Meri Hazlewood and her crew from A-Kon have stepped up and are putting on "Itzacon" on Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving out at the DFW Hyatt. Information is available at their website - www.a-kon.com - click on "Itzacon" for the details.
