[Steppes] Source for period shoes

I have to disagree with at least part of this. You can get good well made
shoes & boots at the Slashed Shoe booth. They are hand made. Reasonably
priced. And although they do have soles, you will not need to buy pattens, &
you can wear these to fight or dance in. They come in several styles, not
just the pointy toe.
If you are interested in period shoes you should go to this booth to see his
"Shoesium". He has a collection of shoes & shoemaking tools from period.
