Greetings, good gentles, from Doña Antonia! Queen’s Champion is but a few days away, and we are in the final stages of planning. We are hoping to make this a remarkable day for Her Majesty, one that She will remember fondly throughout Her reign and well after She passes Her title to Her daughter. With your help, we can make Her day outstanding!

Thus far, things seem to be falling into place. Many from our own barony have stepped up to organize various aspects of the event. Outside setup will take place Friday during the day with HL Jan organizing. Gate will be run by Lord John and Lady Elsbeth. Inside setup will be done Saturday morning starting at 8am - Lady Nualla will be in charge. Gerita della Mara will be the merchant coordinator. The list will be run by Don Eisen, with Countess Allyson and Countess Margaret in charge of the pairings. Lady Liadan will be in charge of waterbearing, and Lady Ameline has agreed to host children’s activities from 9am until noon. Sir Asoph has planned a hearty and delicious feast, to include beef and barley soup, pan seared chicken with rice, green beans, herb-encrusted brisket, and bread pudding (amongst other things!), and Baroness Michelle de Chantal will be organizing the servers. We hope that all will run smoothly.

Our thanks to all who have already volunteered to work at the event. We will, no doubt, need the assistance of all who may be able to help. We hope to make this day as special as possible for Her Majesty. Please help us to do so. Because I have grown long-winded, I will use a separate post to distribute the e-mail and phone numbers for those in charge of specific tasks. Should you have any questions, please contact myself (dsrummel at yahoo.com or cell phone: 214-697-3682) or Countess Kayleigh (Potterkd2 at cs.com, cell phone: 817-454-1417). Thank you in advance for you help!

Antonia/Dawn

It's the little things in life...
