It would mostly be a matter of preference. The shield fletch is the one you
would see in most European drawings and the parabolic seems to be more
eastern. I don't have any wealth of documentation to prove this just
something I have noticed in some of the period art I have seen in books.

Also there are other suppliers who will sell fletches by the dozen so you
don't need to buy as many.

Thanks!  I see it's more involved than I thought.

As a side note, would anyone be interested in splitting a $30 purchase of
100 purple fletchings with me?  I can order them through the store.

Lord Iames, which fletchings are better for Society use?  The store I went
to had both the curved ones and the angular ones.
