[Steppes] Sunday practice

When we used to have large gatherings at the Hill, say 10 years ago, the
Barony was somewhat different too. There was not a separate indoor
practice for rapier, there were not a lot of other individual practices
for heavy fighters, and we did not have as many separate guilds and other
activities as we do now. We also had more knights coming to practice,
and fewer people spending most weekends at events.

It seems that we have more separate interests in the Barony now, because
we have so many things going on. I am not sure this is why fighter
practice seems to be mostly for fighters these days, but I think it may
be part of what is going on. IF this is the case, then moving the time
or location of the practice may not "fix" things.

It may just be that the Barony has changed (or maybe we are getting
older and slower - I know I am). I would like to support our fighters
better than I have been, but sometimes I just don't want to go
anywhere.... I will try to do better, but make no promises.

I know some of us remember fondly "the good ole days", but sometimes it
is not possible to recapture our youth. I do think moving fighter
practice around a lot is a bad idea - it takes a while for people to get
used to seeing us at a particular location and get interested enough to
get recruited. So I think we should decide on a spot and stick with it
for a while....

Anyway, just my rambling tuppence worth.
