Sorry, guys, but I have to agree with Ciard on this one.  I'm neither an artisan nor a fighter, but as a Hospitaler-type person, I can tell you that WE on the Steppes Hospitaler crew had to come up with something off the cuff for newcomers to explain what an artisan competition is all about.  There is almost nothing about it in the Black Star announcement and there is at least a full page just about the Pas.
Ciard, I'm glad someone said it!  I've been thinking the same thing for a few weeks now.

might wonder if this event will have anything to do with displays by
artisans.

All this talk about preparations the Pas d'Arm tourney, and no discussion or
advice for artisan entrants, reminds me of an article I read in the newspaper
once, in the wedding section.

There was a full paragraph describing the Grooms appearance, and finished by
saying "The bride wore the traditional white".

Good luck to all the artisans. Oh, and to the fighters also. (grin)
