[Steppes] Event Changes

I agree 100% with Muireann. There is absolutely no reason Artisan needs
to be a calendar event. It might decrease our attendance a bit, but I
think not much. We did not have Crown presence at Artisan until AFTER it
got to be a big event........

Artisan is very busy for both judges and Artisans, even if not for
others. It would be almost impossible to conduct Artisan in conjunction
with either Twelfth Night or Warlord. That was why it was separated out
to begin with.

We have had both Artisan (when it was considerably smaller) and Gulf Wars
A&S selection (when we had no merchanting, and there was a limit of 3
items) in conjunction with Twelfth Night. In both cases, it was NOT a
good thing to do, and the consensus of opinion was not to do so again!

Limiting the number of entries for competition at Artisan and requiring
pre-reservation would be very useful for the judges, but I suspect the
limit for the number of entries would need to be around 30 or 40, which
does not exactly help conserve table space if you are talking about
Twelfth night.

Combining Artisan with Warlord would add to an already crowded schedule
and court, and the logistics would be very hard to arrange. It takes
several hours to judge Artisan, and most of the judges are Steppes folks
who have other jobs at Warlord and do not have the time to spare. I do
not feel this would be workable.
