  Once upon a time there was a Lady of great heart who lived in the Barony
fo the Steppes. She spent much time making herbal remedies for the poor and
unfortunate. Her hands were never idle in the service of Ansteorra. She
worked ceaselessly to make sure her Lord Husband was able to serve his
Kingdom to the best of his ability. Many were the young people she taught in
the arts of service and deportment. Many Warlords of the Steppes owe their
very lives to her leechcraft, even if for no other reason than the
life-giving water she gave them. Once upon a time this great lady was called
into the court of Their excellencies Baron Fritz and Baroness Catrin. On the
Occasion of the competition of Steppes Artisan, Viscountess Katherine
O'Malley was awarded the Acorn of the Steppes. Woe betide us that such a
great hearted lady was taken from us untimely.
