It was good to finally put some faces to the new e-mail voices, and both
you & the Moor of Dundee are most welcome among us!

As I said last night we can get you into armor,  I do fail to see the
previous jest of your companion at the thought of it?  Obviously they
have not yet seen Hubert d' Aigues-Mortes in armor.  

I watched two Trimarians facing Hugh slow their approach as they raised
their faces to look up at him during the field battle at last Gulf War. 
The mere sight of our gentle Ansteorran armed with sword and that great
round shield did give them cause to think better of it.  They separated
and ran around either side of him both giving much distance to his large
sword and leaving our poor Hugh in pursuit loudly issuing challenge in
question Trimarian courage, but this only served to quicken their pace!

I cannot help but wonder, would they have reacted so had they known it
was Hugh's first war?  

I thought you might enjoy hearing another fledging warrior's war story to
amuse and hope it shall encourage you to pursue your own warrior's path. 
If you should need assistance making your armor there are lots of us
willing to help and many skilled fighters willing to train you, all you
have to do is show up to get started.

As for our Moor, we do again invite her to join our archers on the
archery range Sunday mornings at 10 AM.  Our good archery marshal Jacques
the Spinks has loaner gear available and a skilled archery or two on the
field to assist with improving skills.  I belive she shall find our
Steppes' archery community much to her liking and we shall gladly welcome
her into our ranks.
