One thing that may hamper our efforts to look for a new site is the fact
that most parks and campgrounds are built in 'flood zones'. The sites cannot
be insured for any more permanent type of building. Some just flood less
frequently than others. Canton is a large site. In addition to looking for a
new site, we need to consider other portions of this site that may not be
quite as flood prone. Small children and animals could easily have been
washed away by this flood, as well as any of the previous. At the very least
we need to find a way not to use that area where two drainage channels come
together. I know people like the shade, but its not worth losing someone
over.
