I can help with the card weaving.  I have been weaving for several years and can teach you as soon as you have a loom.  I would more recommend starting with inkle weaving as it helps you learn about the strings, tensions, and the general "how-to" of weaving.  We can do card from there....

well, at the moment i'm not sure...
I am very interest in a Scottish persona but as for
the time frame I don't know...

but, i want to learn how to do pretty much everything,
right know i am researching chain maille, cardweaving,
archery, and medieval cooking. I have decide that
these will be my first enjoyments(hopefully) in the
SCA so I want to build a persona (thus a name) on
these, even if I have to change countries to be
historically accurate. (Don't how many
archer/cook/chain maille-ing/card weaving women there
were in Scotland, haven't gotten that far yet)

That is where i am at the moment...  :)
