[Steppes] Help!! How do I get there?

Mundanely, I used to have to do a lot of highway travel in all sorts of
weather. The authorities were all pussy cats about travelling conditions.
When I *really* wanted to know what the roads were like, I called the bus
station and asked the drivers' reports. You could also call a small airport
and say you were in a small plane (I was in a Cessna 172 years ago.) headed
to (wherever) and want to know what the weather conditions were like.
