I agree with what you say. I also think that Morgan made several good points- that a number of people were surprised and some have had little time to decide and consider it. I expect that many will have to consider it carefully against their mundane lives given the recent economy. I have seen only small glmpses of the workload that they have balanced against their mundane lives and I know I would not want those headaches against my own current mundane life. I do not know how they have done such a great job and balanced their mundane lives as well. They will, indeed, be a hard act to follow given the size of the Barony and the number of different factions present. I will be most interested to see who steps forth to lead the barony over the next few years.

With all due respect to our beloved Baron & Baroness they will be a very
hard act to follow and we are not likely to see a rushed grab for the
brass hats in this Barony. Steppes is a large Barony with many factors
& factions to consider, most likely our best candidates shall end up
needing to be encourged and convinced to make that application.
