The Barony of the Steppes
announces the 
12th Night Feast &
Steppes Baronial Investiture
And Kingdom Eisteddfod
Saturday, January 3, 2004

The Barony of the Steppes invites all and sundry to an evening of tradition 
and grandeur at the 12th Night Feast and Court to celebrate the investiture of 
'Abd al-Mahdi Jamal ibn Hakim & Valeria Richila Navarro as the newest landed 
nobility of these ancient lands.

Site: Sokal Hall, 2622 E. Hwy 34, Ennis, Texas, 75119
Directions: take your best route to I-45 in Ennis TX, approximately 35 miles 
south of Dallas. Take exit 251b 
and go east 1.5 miles. Sokol Hall will be on your left.

Hall opens at noon and closes at 11:00 PM
Kingdom Eisteddfod competition begins at 2:00
No outside alcoholic beverages allowed.
An on site bar will be open during the event.
No pets, assistance animals only. 

Site fee- $7.00 adult, $4.00 under 12, 
family cap of $22.00, $3.00 non-member surcharge enforced.
Feast fee- $8.00 per person, 12 and older.
no family cap on feast fees. Feast by pre-paid reservation only! Cut off date 
reservations postmarked Dec. 20, 2003. Please prepay feast fees only 
w/reservation, include society and modern names of everyone for whom payment is sent.

Due to the logistics, timing, planned activities, and nature of this event 
merchant space is not available in the hall. Merchants may set up outside the 
building and must supply their own tables, chairs, and weather protection.  
Ongoing Dance classes, Heraldic Consultation, and Ask-A-Laurel tables are planned. 
The traditional costume and table decorating contests will be held, in 
addition to a sponsored Cartography competition which is being continued from 
Warlord.

The Kingdom Eisteddfod will be held at this Steppes 12th Night beginning at 
2:00 PM. The current kingdom Bard, Master Pendaran Glamorgan will run the 
competition. For additional information look for notices posted by Master Pendaran.

*Minors at this event must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. They 
may also attend with an adult 21 or older with a signed and notarized Minor 
Event Waiver Form from their parent(s)*
