Archery Marshal's report

Happy New Year and a Joyous Twelfth Night to all,

There will be no Archery Practice on Sunday, January 9. I will be staying 
the night in Ennis and don't plan on getting up any earlier than I need to. 
Other than that, we will hold practices every Sunday morning in January and 
February unless weather forces cancellation or I decide to travel to events 
elsewhere.

The Royal Huntsman Tournament will be held at the event being hosted jointly 
by the Baronies of Ravensfort and Bordermarch on Feb. 25-27 at the  
Bordermarch Castle Site. I know of a couple of archers from the area that 
are planning on competing. I am sure that Arcus Jaques the Spink would love 
to hand off his title to another Steppes Archer. This is one event that I 
may be travelling to, so I will let you know if I will be in town for 
practice.

The Barony has graciously consented to allow me to purchase some new archery 
butts after the first of the year. Hopefully the new ones will not be so 
hard on tips. ;)

Come on out for our weekly practices Sunday Mornings at 10 a.m. at Eastfield 
College in Mesquite at I-30 and Motley Drive. Loaner gear is available along 
with basic and sometimes more advanced instruction. Cancellation due to 
inclimate weather or other reasons will be posted before 8 a.m. on the 
Steppeslist.

All reports for the SteppesLetter are due in 2 (count them!) days.

I am extremely worried.  I have received only 2 items for print (from Lete
and Gerita).  I have reduced the sensitivity of my SPAM filter thinking
that some or the reports were eaten by the filter.  If you have sent me
something and it wasn't listed above, please resend.

Officers:  I would like to update your information.  Please send me name,
position, addresses, phone numbers, etc. so that the officers page can be
current.
