To the Good Gentles of Ansteorra,

For all that attended the wonderful AAA event and saw the magnificent
thrones that were used in court, you may have wondered as to their
origin.

These are the original Ansteorran thrones. They have been re-finished,
re-upholstered, and repaired with brass appointments added.

They have been in the Barony of the Steppes for many years. One of our
baronial members, Lord Bre'nainn Mac Giolla Pha'draig, was the
artist/designer/craftsman who did this fine restoration. His artistic
vision, talented hands, and generous heart are responsible for the
beauty that was present on the podium all weekend.

VIVAT LORD BRE’NAINN!

YIS,
Baroness Muireann

They looked marvelous!

I don't know if you have ever heard about the history of the thrones,
but what I heard way back when (and I can still remember) was that the
thrones were originally donated by the Shire of Gwyndebourne - later to
be known as
the Shire of Middleford. I don't remember if they were bought or
donated from a group - I want to say it was the Knights of Columbus,
but it may have been from a Masonic temple.

If you wish to share this with the populace, go right ahead. HL Gilli
might know more about it, but he was stationed in Germany during part of
that time.
