[Steppes] Steppes Fighter Practice 10-31-2004

Heilsa,

Mid-day in the park was bright and sunny with a brisk breeze blowing. As 
the day progress, the clouds rolled in from the south and the sun slowly 
faded away. Perhaps the weather cast will be right for a change.

The breeze stayed though and the temperature did indeed drop a few 
degrees to give those who was not partied out, an opportunity to fight 
in the shade. Although some who did make it out, was in recovery 
progress from the night before and did not get into armor.

Again there was no rain in the park this past Sunday.

Edward, a newcomer to the SCA as well as to heavy fighting

Hrafn providing instruction in the basic of heavy fighting to Edward - 
the mechanics of swinging a sword.

Hosey providing instruction as well to Edward in swinging a sword. Both 
squared off with two swords each, with one inverted.

Sir Mahdi providing instruction to Mike with both fighting with bucklers 
and swords.

Thank you Centurion Morgan for bring out your buckler and loaning it to 
Hosey for future fighter practices.

At the end of the practice we had the normal social gathering - dinner - 
the place that we went this past Sunday was Souper Salad. Yes, another 
buffet.
