Glaslyn's Defender of the Flame event is March 26-28.  Here is the event 
announcement.

Glaslyn's Defender of the Flame
March 26-28, 2004
LBJ National Grasslands (Alvord, Texas)

Does your honor come from the strength of your arm or the strength of your 
heart?  We seek strong heroes to defend our Canton.  How many foeman can you 
withstand? Come enjoy our Hero’s Tournament and see how many you can fight 
at once.
   The populace of Glaslyn wishes to invite all to attend their Defender of 
the Flame event to take place on March 26-28 at the LBJ National Grasslands 
in Alvord, Texas. Site opens Friday at 5:00 p.m. and closes Noon Sunday.
   Archery, Rapier & Chivalric Defender of the Flame will fight for the 
title, in addition to the Keepers of the Flame to be chosen by the ladies of 
Glaslyn.
   $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and children 5 years and under 
are free with a family max of $24.  A surcharge of $3 will be added for 
adult non-members.  Checks to be made out to SCA, Inc/Canton of Glaslyn.
   Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  They may also 
attend with a 21 year or older adult with a signed and notarized Minor Event 
Waiver Form from the parents.  Pets are allowed with proper paperwork and 
must be on leash or crated at all times.  Site is primitive, bring your own 
water.  Site is wet in period containers.  If you have any questions, feel 
free to contact the event steward or co-steward.

   From the Northeast or Dallas:

I35 to Exit 479 which is FM455 go west 28 miles (thru Wise and Montague 
conties) to FM1655 (at Forestburg) turn left (South).  Go 6.7 miles and turn 
left on Roberts Rd.  On Roberts Rd., travel 1.6 miles to CR2690 and take the 
left section of the "Y".  Go 1.7 miles to CR2675/Parker Dairy Rd. and turn 
right.  Take the first left CR2777, then take the next right.  Look for the 
windmill.

   From the Northwest or Fort Worth:

Best route to Hwy 287.  Exit FM1655 East 8.6 miles to Roberts Rd.  You will 
pass from Wise to Montaque conty just before the turn.  Turn right on 
Roberts Rd.  On Roberts Rd., travel 1.6 miles to CR2690 and take the left 
section of the "Y".  Go 1.7 miles to CR2675/Parker Dairy Rd. and turn right. 
  Take the first left CR2777, then take the next right.  Look for the 
windmill.
