Yes, you do.  But this guy is a great near-miss candidate. We've
discussed him to death on the Chirurgeon list, as well as another
individual who did the same thing one year at another war.

Funny story, but don't you have to in some way (death or future
infertility) 
remove yourself from the gene pool in order to recieve a Darwin award?
