Subject: Period-style chair, really cheap!

Anybody looking for a quite period-style chair at an extremely reasonable
price (on sale and with free shipping for the next few days)? Check this
out!

While I have not seen one personally, a friend of mine who is interested
in authenticity purchased a pair and was pleasantly surprised at the
soundness of the construction. He expected them to be very poorly made,
but he says that while they are not of the highest quality, they seem
pretty well constructed and he thinks they'll stand up to some good use.

He doesn't think the finish is typical of the period, and he says the
arms are a bit higher than the period examples, but they are far superior
to, say a director's chair if you are looking to spruce up your
encampment a bit.

I've seen them, and sat in them. The lack of a back is a problem for
comfort.

Here's an essay about medieval folding chairs. It does have one that
looks like this one.
