This to me sounds like a previous owner watching and waiting for you to
park, then took the truck with a key.

Subject: [Steppes] OT - Stolen Truck; please keep an eye out!

Thanks for taking the time out to read this.

I bought a white with silver trim 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab on Monday
night. On Tuesday night when I got home at 11:30pm I locked it and went
inside my house. When I came out the next morning at 8am to go to work my
new truck was gone. The thieves were nice enough to take the box that was
in the back seat which contained effects from my previous car and leave it
on the grass in front of the empty parking spot.

This is what the truck looks like (mine does not have anything in the back;
in fact it doesn't even have a bed liner):

The truck was stolen from my gated apartment community in the Valley Ranch
area of Irving. The Texas plates are 7ZN - J51. The VIN number ends in
198749. The right rear plate light is out. It has tinted windows. It has
a expired 9/04 inspection sticker. It has a small chip of paint off the
front bumper where you can see black beneath it. I had a dodge trailer
hitch installed by the dealer before I picked it up; there is slight damage
to the bumper where it is attached. The interior floor behind the passenger
seat has bleach spots on it. The interior is tan. The wheels were newly
polished.

If you see the truck please call the Irving police department immediately
and reference case number 04-35769. Their phone number is (972) 721-2603

Thats so much for any help. This was the first vehicle I ever purchased by
myself and the first truck I ever had. You all know that I now own a horse
and need this to transport him to events should my dearest friend Lady
Allessandra ever not be able to. Yes, the truck was fully insured but I'd
really rather have my truck back than an insurance payoff.

Please feel free to forward this message to wherever you think might help; I
truly appreciate it.

Thanks again.
Elizabeta
