I'll check the records on the Equestrian list for info about the new faire.

I think what blew the last deal with SF was that we could not commit to 
every weekend. If we are to work with any of the Faires they would have to 
know that we could not commit to every weekend as players. Having the SCA 
people at the fair for a few weekends is better than no weekends. Even if we 
don't pay gate we do pay site fees and we would shop and eat. Better use of 
site tokens could keep the SCA competitions limited to SCA entries.

As for equestrians we are used to working in open fields. Also we do soft 
jousting now and could use their set up when the others are not.

I would love to see the Jousting competition.

Aimee have you been to SF? There is no place to have our horse games. Also 
Memorial Day weekend is when they hold the International Invitational 
Jousting Tournament. (The only thing that has tempted me to miss Warlord.) 
If there is another faire starting, getting in on that might be a better 
idea. However if you want to have Horse games at a faire, they will want to 
have them each weekend. That would be a lot of traveling for some horses & 
their riders. Unless alternate weeks are arranged. Even then, do we have 
enough riders in Ansteorra willing to work a faire run of several weeks?
Can you send me any info you have about that new faire? As a merchant I 
would be interested in which weekends it will be, as well as it's location.
