[Steppes] Mailing list status

I, on the other hand, really enjoy being able to read relevant email
in 10 to 15 minutes rather than wading through posts not actually
meant for the list. Several long time Steppes members had stopped
reading the Steppes list completely due to the lack of value they
received for the time spent. These other lists you cite are not for
the general public in nature. They are addressed to a specific
audience. Their context limits it's traffic due to the nature of that
list

The only exception to this is the Ansteorran list, which I believe is
moderated in some way.

I am not sure how information is being lost. The sender has the
information, the original receiver has the sent post. How does this
equate to loss? At worst it requires the sender to review the
destination before sending and at best makes for better time spent for
the rest of us who would be more likely to read the daily average of
15 posts, as compared to the 40 or more daily post prior to the
change.

I have received far more 'thank-you's for suggesting this change than
complaints. I am sorry that you do not agree with the majority of
respondants.
