[Steppes] Archery Practice 05/01

Happy May day everyone!

It was lovely at the archery range today, unfortunately we had no archers. I 
was just leaving after waiting for an hour when Jaques arrived. Without 
three of us we couldn't submit scores so we decided to cancel practice. I 
assume that most of the archers went to War Practice.

Tragedy has befallen the Killdeer family. This morning there was only one 
egg in an abandoned nest. There was no sign of mama or papa and there were 
no shell fragments or anything, so I have no clue what happened for certain.

We will be having practice next Sunday at 9. Hopefully the weather will be 
just as lovely.

HL Ironwyrm and I went to Dragon's Fire Tor's event yesterday. We had a 
great time, though I have discovered that Bear Pit shooting is very 
exhausting, but fun. I am stiff and sore all over. Essentially we shot the 
equivalent of two IKAC's or approximately 150-175 arrows in three hours. HL 
Ironwyrm was tied for the lead at the end of the three hours, but lost to 
Kerrick in the tie breaker. Despite the very early light rain which kept the 
dust down nicely, it was a gorgeous day. Wish we had seen more Steppes folks 
there.
